Nagaon Aakshi Beach
It just 6 kms away from Alibaug, it is relatively less visited site and as a result is quiet beach with sparkling white sand.
Sri Dutta Mandir, Chaul (Lord Dutta)
18 km from Alibaug on way to revdanda road, one of the very famous hill shrine. One has to climb
around 700 stairs to reach this shrine surrounded by vegetation.
Sri Ramaeshwar Mandir, Chaul
The ancient shrine looks like built in 'Hemadpant' style of Architecture. Angre history references
say that it way renovated many times. In front of the prayer hall, there are three tanks (kund) namely
Parjanya, Agni and Vayoo kund.
Birla Mandir also know as Vikram Vinayak Mandir ( Lord Ganesha)
Approx 20 kms from Alibaug. This temple is one of the must visit places, the temple is on a hill top and
was built by the Vikram Ispat Company. The temple is built using pure white marble and is noticeable
from a distance. Around the temple landscape is gardened. A walk in this garden is a refreshing experience. The temple is open for visit from 6.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. and from 4.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.
The Kashid beach is located on the way to Murud. The specialty of this beach is the beautiful slivery white sand.
This village was known as Nandigram in ancient times. Believers feel that a 'Darshan' of lord ganesha here lends finale to the 'Asthtavinayak' pilgrimage. A grand festival takes place every on 'Magh Chaturthi' day.
